New Search Engine - Spock

Bill O'Reilly of O'Reilly Radar and Web 2.0 fame has an interesting post about a new search engine called Spock (currently in Beta).  He reports that the search engine takes people search one step further in that it allows users to contributed tags associated with the person.  He also feels that the network effect of the web is such that the search engine will become even more useful as the number of people indexed continues to grow.

Online Video Resources & Trends

Steve Rubel at MicroPersuasion had a link to TagTV, an online resource that allows you to search the tags of videos and photos on YouTube and Flickr.

He also referenced a story on Buzz Machine that quotes Accenture research showing that "nearly 40% of Internet users download and watch videos on the web and 54% of young people want to create and share their content on the web".

Meanwhile Techcrunch reports that Walmart will be joining the downloadable video space in the next few months.  The company will join Apple, Amazon and others in offering this service.  The article references a story by CNNMoney indicating that their business model might also involve in-store kiosks where consumers will be able to download videos onto a disk.
