I recently received an e-mail letting me know about the launch of PPTExchange, a new digital asset marketplace for publishing, buying and selling PowerPoint Presentations. PPTExchange, currently in Beta, was described in their e-mail in the following manner:
"pptExchange is a web-based consumer-to-consumer marketplace, focused on allowing its users to publish, trade and sell content in PowerPoint presentation format.
pptExchange.com aims to become the interactive hub of PowerPoint presentations, where users can easily make their presentations available to others; enable PowerPoint authors to be compensated for their work if they desire; to build the community platform with more value-add and useful services to their members.
The site welcomes anyone who wants to publish/share their PowerPoint content.
- Vendors who want to display their product presentations
- Students who want to share their school presentations
- Design Artists who want to exhibit their creations
- Consultants who would like to showcase their knowledge
- Church members who want to share their sermons or songs
- Educators who want to place their teaching materials online
Any subject (within reason) is welcome! Anyone with a sense of humor!
You can just save it there, you can share it, you can also sell it.. It is the publisher's call.
Here's the press release about the launch of the site and a promotional video explaining the concept.
I've registered at the site, although haven't been able to get in yet. Once I do, I'll report on how it functions and how it will be of benefit for presenters.
