PowerPoint Security Attack

ZDNet, PC World and others reported that Microsoft has identified another potential threat of an attack due to malicious code that could enter a system through a hole in Microsoft PowerPoint.  The flaw was identified one week after Microsoft sent out several security patches for PowerPoint and other Office products according to the reports.  Although no successful attacks have been identified, PowerPoint users have been warned not to open unidentified presentations.   Information Week reports that the Office suite has been patched for potential security flaws 44 times this year with PowerPoint patches reflecting 8 of these repairs.
